Australian Artists At TGE
What to do if you are invited to play TGE
Australian artists can now apply to play at TGE 2010. All you need to do is simply apply through our website as usual. Submissions should be made by 1st February 2010. This date is slightly earlier than European artists to allow plenty of time for funding applications and travel arrangements to be organized. Bookings shall be confirmed by the end of February and all artist applications shall be contacted after this date. To register CLICK HERE
If you receive an official invite for The Great Escape you should:
1. Contact Sounds Australia and let them know that you have CONFIRMED our acceptance by emailing Millie Millgate mmillgate@apra.com.au.
2. Apply for the Australia Council's Live On Stage fund, that supports artists showcasing at The Great Escape.
3. Depending on what state you are based in, you could explore State based export funding opportunities that may support your mission.
4. Make sure your passports are up to date.
5. Arrange for the correct VISAs to meet your needs and are aware of the taxation implications.
6. Take a look at AUSTRADE's Export Market Development Grant (EMDG), so that you are aware for what you need to keep track of if you are intending to apply.
