After 15 years of playing, making and recording music with several rock bands (including Soon and Ellroy) Gaëtan Vandewoude felt the time was right to start creating his very own songs. Writing and recording at night in a shabby old stable resulted in a collection of introspective yet observing songs, inspired by his immediate surroundings.
Somewhere in that process a band was formed with Naima Joris, Bart Borremans and Gianni Marzo, allowing each one of them to give their own colour and contribution to the music.
Since the Benelux release late October 2009 things moved fast - very fast - both Belgian and Dutch press were immediately impressed by this debut album which resulted in top reviews in key press including Humo, Knack, De Morgen, De Standaard, Oor, De Volkskrant, Nrc etc, and Belgian national radio followed immediately by featuring "As Long As It Takes" within 8 weeks into a hit with an official top 20 Belgian chart position.
Meanwhile the band has started playing several smaller shows supporting such nice bands and artists as Local Natives, Mark Eitzel and Emily Jane White and got last minute invited by Eurosonic to perform early 2010 which once again was an overwhelming success - they played in front of a sold out De Spieghel Upstairs venue with many people outside still trying to get in and were of the most mentioned bands during the Eurosonic festival.
Since then they played at a sold out Ancienne Belgique Brussels in front of 2000 quiet people and later on in hometown Leuven in front of a sold out 700 capacity Depot venue for an ever more quiet audience, and the same has happened in the Netherlands were they have played all major venues and will perform at the main room at Paradiso in May.
The first steps abroad were made by supporting Megafaun in Berlin, Munich and Paris and after having a nice meeting it was agreed that Coda booking agency will represent the band for Europe
