FAQ

Q. I want to attend TGE but don’t live in Brighton. Is this possible?
A. Of course. This year we have hostel accommodation on sale which you can purchase by CLICKING HERE. Trains also run to and from Brighton up until 11:30pm each day of the event.

Q. I’d like to buy a ticket but would like to do so in person instead of from your website / ticket lines. Is this possible?
A. Yes, our tickets are now onsale in local outlets Resident and Rounder Records.

Q.If I’ve already paid for my festival ticket, why am I now being asked to pay more to see the bands playing at The Brighton Dome?
A.There is a simple case of mathematics here. The Brighton Dome shows are extremely expensive to produce. if you add the cost of 3 single show tickets up this comes to more than the cost of a weekend The Great Escape ticket. The Great Escape is a new music festival and the way we keep ticket prices low is by being true to this within programming. Over the years more and more people have asked for bigger shows. Instead of penalising ticket prices across the board, we thought the fairest financially viable way to do so is to charge £7 top up to cover the costs of bigger shows, if you want to see them. You will not be charged for anything other than The Brighton Dome shows.

Q. If I haven’t bought a Brighton Dome Show ticket will I still be able to see these shows?
A. Unfortunately not. The only way to access The Brighton Dome Shows is with either a top up or single event ticket.

Q. Can I buy a single day ticket?
A. Yes single day tickets will be onsale closer to the event.

Q. What does a delegate ticket get you?
A. Access to the Convention Events which include panels, debates, celebrity interviews, networking sessions and parties. You will also get priority access to gigs in our core venues subject to each venue’s capacity.

Q.I’ve bought a delegates pass and want to attend The Brighton Dome shows, do I have to buy a top up ticket?
A.Delegates have a number of options to access The Brighton Dome shows. We shall be running the delegates fast track system again this year where delegates have the option to request a fast track voucher to 1 show per day which will guarantee them access to their chosen show. There will be a set allocation for each show for this and it is run on a first come first served basis. If a delegate does feel really passionately about seeing a band playing at one of our Brighton Dome Shows then they can purchase a top up ticket from our website to avoid disappointment.

Q. When and where do I exchange my ticket for a wristband?
A. Tickets can be exchanged at the Wristband Exchange. Location and opening times will be posted closer to the event.

Q. I booked my festival ticket on somebody else’s credit card. What do I need to do to collect my ticket?
A. If you have arranged for your tickets to be posted to you just bring your ticket to wristband exchange during opening hours and we will exchange your ticket for a wristband. If you have arranged to collect your tickets on site please bring with you a letter from the card owner giving permission for you to collect the tickets.
