Q. I booked my festival ticket on somebody else’s credit card. What do I need to do to collect my ticket?
A. If you have arranged for your tickets to be posted to you just bring your ticket to wristband exchange during opening hours and we will exchange your ticket for a wristband. If you have arranged to collect your tickets on site please bring with you a letter from the card owner giving permission for you to collect the tickets.
Q. I haven’t received my festival tickets yet, what should I do?
A. Please contact the ticket agent that you used to book your tickets. If you booked via our website the ticket agent is See Tickets.
Q.Where can I get updated information from on site?
A. We recommend that you sign up to The Great Escape text service by texting ESCAPE to 80039. Sign up charge is £1.50, all notifications are free to receive. Once you sign up you will receive regular updates about secret shows and other exciting activities.
Q. I want to attend TGE but don’t live in Brighton. Is this possible?
A. Of course. This year we have hostel accommodation on sale which you can purchase by CLICKING HERE. Trains also run to and from Brighton up until 11:30pm each day of the event.
Q. I’d like to buy a ticket but would like to do so in person instead of from your website / ticket lines. Is this possible?
A. Yes, our tickets are now onsale in local outlets Resident and Rounder Records as well as The Dome box office and HMV Brighton.
Q.If I’ve already paid for my festival ticket, why am I now being asked to pay more to see the bands playing at The Brighton Dome?
A.There is a simple case of mathematics here. The Brighton Dome shows are extremely expensive to produce. if you add the cost of 3 single show tickets up this comes to more than the cost of a weekend The Great Escape ticket. The Great Escape is a new music festival and the way we keep ticket prices low is by being true to this within programming. Over the years more and more people have asked for bigger shows. Instead of penalising ticket prices across the board, we thought the fairest financially viable way to do so is to charge £7 top up to cover the costs of bigger shows, if you want to see them. You will not be charged for anything other than The Brighton Dome shows.
Q. What are ‘Transaction fees’ and ‘Booking fees’ that are being added to the cost of my Great Escape ticket?
A.The transaction fee covers the costs of processing orders, printing, packing and delivering the tickets to you. This fee also applies to tickets arranged for collection at the venue. The transaction fee applies per order not per ticket. If you purchase six tickets, you only pay one transaction fee. Tickets for The Great Escape Festival are sent via secure post.
Each ticket carries a booking fee which is included in the price of the tickets stated at the time of booking. The booking fee is the charge added on by the ticket agency for providing a service for you to book the tickets. It also covers the staff, customers services, credit card commissions and all other costs (including onsite box offices) associated with the running of the business.
Q. If I haven’t bought a Brighton Dome Show ticket will I still be able to see these shows?
A. Unfortunately not. The only way to access The Brighton Dome Shows is with either a top up or single event ticket.
Q. Can I buy a single day ticket?
A. Yes single day tickets are now on sale. Go to the BUY TICKETS page to purchase. Saturday tickets have now SOLD OUT.
Q. Can I buy tickets for The Great Escape from unofficial ticket outlets?
A. We do not approve of resale of tickets through unauthorised agents. We urge the public not to try and get tickets from these “secondary ticket outlets” whether that be unofficial ticket outlets or through auction sites, as it could well lead to disappointment. Also BEAWARE OF TOUTS. Please only buy from authorized Ticket Agents. Please do not buy from unauthorized websites. No official tickets have been allocated by the promoter to any website not mentioned above. Please only buy from our official ticket agents. This is the only way you can guarantee that you will receive genuine tickets.
Q. What does a delegate ticket get you?
A. Access to the Convention Events which include panels, debates, celebrity interviews, networking sessions and parties. You will also get priority access to gigs in our core venues subject to each venue’s capacity.
Q.I’ve bought a delegates pass and want to attend The Brighton Dome shows, do I have to buy a top up ticket?
A.Delegates have a number of options to access The Brighton Dome shows. We shall be running the delegates fast track system again this year where delegates have the option to request a fast track voucher to 1 show per day which will guarantee them access to their chosen show. There will be a set allocation for each show for this and it is run on a first come first served basis. If a delegate does feel really passionately about seeing a band playing at one of our Brighton Dome Shows then they can purchase a top up ticket from our website to avoid disappointment.
Q. Where do I collect my delegate pass from?
